Top 10 Tips from the Science of Well-Being

I recently had the opportunity to hear Dr. Laurie Santos speak about happiness. Dr. Santos is the teacher of the most popular class in Yale’s history, host of “The Happiness Lab” podcast, and creator of The Science of Well-Being. 

I found it interesting — although not surprising — that kindness, both to yourself and to others, is so closely connected to being happy. I want to share Dr. Santos’ top ten tips for a happy life;

  3. Helping others makes us happier than we expect
  4. Make time for gratitude
  5. Healthy habits matter for our happiness
  6. Be in the present moment and savor the good things
  7. Be in the present moment even if it feels yucky

  10.  Become wealthy in time not in money
