KINDNESS PORCH INITIATIVE
Each month of the year, MelroseKind collects donations for vulnerable populations at our Kindness Porches, located throughout the city (and also through our Amazon Wishlist). We partner with other non-profits and charitable organizations to bring visibility to their missions. Each year, the quantity of donations grow and we are so grateful for the outpouring of love from our fellow Melrosians.

April Charitable Drive

in support of
Veterans Northeast Outreach Center (VNEOC)
This drive is in memory of longtime Melrosian Scott Forbes. Scott joined VNEOC in January 2019 and oversaw all Federal & State funded grant programs that provide housing assistance, employment, access to VA benefits, outreach, and peer support opportunities that improve the overall quality of life for veterans and their families. For many years, Scott hosted a sock drive for homeless veterans. He was one of the very first Melrosians to embrace the mission of MelroseKind and we honor his legacy by supporting this very important charitable cause. A special thank you to Melrose non-profit The Foster Box for kicking off our April drive with a donation of 250 new socks from their charitable relationship with Bombas.
